Nirvana for Android Released

In December 2009, we enhanced our Nirvana Enterprise Java API to fully support the Android platform. This enhancement extends Nirvana’s mobile reach to Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and J2ME devices.

Nirvana on the AndroidTM platform will provide the proven robust features that ensure secure and rapid exchange of data between web, mobile and enterprise clients, without any modification to existing Nirvana server deployments. These features allow Android devices to publish and subscribe to events in real-time, utilize message queues, and communicate with peer to peer services.

The Nirvana API is available today for developers who plan to extend delivery of real-time data to users of Android devices. Visit our Android Developer’s page for more information, and to download full source for our Nirvana-powered demonstration Android application, Tradespace.
